l Gold communications award for TT Forum at Audi Driver International - Saturday 17th October 2015

The TT Forum has repeated last year's success with yet another prestigious Gold Communications award at the 2015 Audi Driver International awards and gala evening held at the Swindon Hilton, organised by Autometrix - publishers of Audi Driver magazine.

This followed an eventful day of track events, displays and socialising at Castle Combe race circuit where the TT Forum display stand was very well attended with fellow TT enthusiasts and their well looked after and modified cars.

Following the day's event we all gathered at the Swindon Hilton to be taken by specially provided coach to Swindon Audi and a flowing champagne reception provided by the enthusiastic staff who were only too pleased to top up our glasses and show us around the latest models including the unveiling of an immaculate classic 1973 orange Audi 100.

Back to the Swindon Hilton and it was time to settle down to the gala evening and a three course meal which included the customary very tricky quiz with prize for the winning table. After the meal the announcement of the awards were made by Ann Harris, recently widowed wife of Paul Harris, the long standing editor of Audi Driver magazine whose inspiration and enthusiasm created this annual event and brought together, suppliers, industry representatives and personalities and excited so many Audi owners to attend.

John Zammett, head of PR at Audi UK spoke very kindly of Paul Harris and remembered over 100 times he had flown with Paul to various Audi shows and international events. He spoke of Paul's inspiration and untiring dedication to the brand and its promotion to its many fans through the events he organised and reports in the magazines he published. He raised a glass to his friend Paul and following his moving speech the entire hall rose to toast Paul with a standing ovation - to possibly the best communicator of all.
