Did you clear errors, before doing this scan, or is the above the first scan?
If you didn't clear all errors, then rescan, do that now. Some of those errors may well be historical, and not current. Mac. |

When was your timing belt last changed, being out a tooth can lead to incorrect correlation errors

Hey Mac, Yeah I did clear them mate and have cleared them againand going to retest again in a few days. Would having the ignition on only for a good while and messing with VCDS cause the no communications errors becuase Ive not had them before. Audi TT 1.8T Quattro ARY 02

Hi StuartDB, Well... I have read this somewhere already, maybe on here. I've only had the car since August last year (only for work purposes) and within the paperwork, I cannot see any indication that its been changed. I recently did a full service myself and the oil was bloody aweful. I've checked the belt and it looks to be in OK condition but I am going to change it. The cars just hitting 90k now so it's quite concerning I suppose if it hasnt been done already. Audi TT 1.8T Quattro ARY 02

I think you are on borrowed time Sir. If PO didn't change the oil, they certainly wouldn't have changed cam belt, pump, tensioner etc. Mac |
|
Yeah I know mate, going to get it done asap. Where would be the best place to by everything I need from? EuroCarParts? Audi TT 1.8T Quattro ARY 02

While you are doing some spannering i would get the sump off and do the strainer and clean out the sump, this 1 is good for piece of mind for what it costs

Cheers Jester, will do that mate. Audi TT 1.8T Quattro ARY 02

my point was more that if you changed it last week it might have been put on a tooth out - I did this on 2 out of 3 timing belt changes - the car drives okay you just get an EML every few days. but if your oil is really poor it may not be correctly adjusting the VVT which adjusts the cams |

Yeah thanks mate, I've read this quite a lot on here. Audi TT 1.8T Quattro ARY 02
