Hi, Rev counter can be slow to react on start-up if battery volts are low, but a replacement battery if new shouldn't have low volts, but even a new battery may not be fully charged.

The needle start position is now at '6 oclock' instead of the usual '8 oclock' . The needle moves (ie. rises and falls) when the engine is revved. How can i reset it to its proper start position?
Thanks
Phillip

The needle has probably moved on its shaft. If you look at this link it includes how to dismantle the cluster and re-align the dials. You only need to rotate the needle anti-clockwise to zero.
