Hi James,

do you have a contact for the ClanTT forum please? Perhaps an email address?

I've tried to log in to so see who's registered for the trip. My user name (A3DFU) is active but I get a return of

Is Yvan (Roadrunner) still on there? I have an old email address from him

Thanks for your quick reply Brian :)

I didn't know that these days I need to pay to go on the ClanTT forum; just goes to show how long ago I've been absent from their forum. Come to think of it, I seem to remember now that I stopped logging on when they made their forum a payable one

There are a few of us who are toying with the idea of going but it's just a discussion at the moment. I'll post if/when I know more :)

So who's planning to attend this year?

Looking at the response on this thread, not many :(

Dave
Hello Dave,

So far the following are confirmed attendees

Brian - brittan
David - jaqcom
Kev - kevtoTTy
James - blackers

Rooms booked and meals choices made with clanTT

Possible attendees Dani & John?

Are you and Gill coming along Dave?

Cheers
James
James

Without any activity how has all this been arranged? (I can guess :? )

Sort of makes having a thread on here pointless. And making arrangements off-thread excludes others on the ******** that may have an interest in attending.

I did say we were planning to attend therefore needing a room for the Friday and Saturday, but we would be making our own way down as usual and would be make our own ferry arrangements.

That's why I've been monitoring this thread so see things are progressing. And I've seen no email traffic since our last exchange on 19th June. Nor any PM's.

You are of course correct James that all main details like hotels, meals etc etc are in the original post. It's just that with basically no discussion on here it is easy to assume that there is no interest in this trip.
This is indeed what I have assumed because of the lack of discussion on here. :?

Accurately said Dani.

It is (or at least used to be) the activity on a thread that would generate and maintain interest.

Hello Dave and Dani,

I am sorry that you both feel like that.

Each year I post details of the clanTT AGM normally with little response, I try to be inclusive inviting people to come and have in the past arranged the details, hotels, ferries, maps, paid deposits, pay for clanTT membership, planned routes, bought thank you gifts, stickers and polo shirts. This previous work appears to mean nothing to you and you think it is appropriate to criticise me which i think is unfortunate

Despite annually posting details some years there is little interest or response...look at this year just two people possibly interested (you and Dani). I emailed John & Dani early in the year and asked if they were interested, separately you and I communicated about you going also via email. I was positive in my communications keen for you all to come along, the more the merrier and I would be glad to have your company. I am not sure what you are unhappy about, we all communicated via email i.e. not on this forum but now this was not the right way to do things? Instead you use a public forum to be critical, you both have my email address and telephone numbers why not call me and talk this through but no instead you post (I can guess :? ) type comments to have a dig at me?

All the main details of the AGM are in the translated post earlier in this thread, if you have any other questions please just if ask. If I can help in any other way then shout.

Are you both planning to come along?

Best wishes
James (blackers)
I think you are being a tad unfair there James. Dave has a valid point - if it is supposed to be "more the merrier" then you need a buzz on the thread and generate some interest. Apart from initially hearing about it ages ago I didn't think much was happening either.

Hello John and Dave,

Fair enough, I will delete my post and withdraw my comments.

Have a great time who ever may be going :)
Hello there Dani,

Thank you, it should be a great trip, sorry that you can't make it but do have a good time touring the north east with your sister.

The clanTT weekend is very popular this year, they've run out of the rooms at the hotel and quite a few of the attendees are sharing rooms. At the last count 62 TTs and over 100 attending.

Well organised as ever and they've very kindly written the roadbook in french and english, it must have taken some time to put together as every junction is illustrated.

After the clanTT weekend we are coming back via Spain and spending 5 days exploring the Pyrenees staying at a hunting lodge high up in the mountains

Looking forward to the trip :D
