Hi guys, I was hoping you could help me with a dilemma I'm facing.
My much loved 2017, TT TDI S Line (diesel, I know) has come to the end of its fiance deal, and I'm not sure what to do!
I've been paying £360 for it, and have £14k left to pay if I want to keep it (which I can afford, even if I don't do enough mileage to justify it).
Now Audi are only valuing my car aT £13k which was suprsing considering its only got 20,000 miles and has the comfort and tech pack, but that's by the by.
My offer to get a new TT (40), would be £4k upfront cash and then £420 a month, but from what I've read there doesn't seem like much of a reason to move to the newer model. Am I missing something there?
So my options are:
- Pay the £14k, keep my current TT and hope it's not going to plummet in value as its a diesel or start breaking / have expensive maintenance.
- Upgrade to the new TT
- Get rid and get an old Mx5 for £5k and ride it til it dies.
- Compromise. Get a Golf R line for like £200 a month
- go car less (I drive like 4k a year... The other halves choice.. She's an accountant..)
So, forget the last option as that's boring. As the TT community what would you do? Do you think keeping the 17 car would be an expensive mistake?
