Just took part in a 1/4 mile at Crail Raceway yesterday. My car is a completely standard 225 Coupe only with the addition of a Milltek Non Res Exhaust. This is the first time I've competed in a 1/4mile in the TT and I managed a 14.9sec @ 95.1mph.

Very pleased to break the 15sec mark in all honesty.

What is the best achieved 1/4mile time in a TT (1.8T and V6)?

Regards,
David

I think that your time is about right and indicates you have no issues.
1.8 stage 1 should see mid fourteens.
1.8 stage 2 should see low fourteens.
1.8 stage 3 should be high thirteens.
1.8 stage 4 has been documented at running in the twelves for a Big Turbo conversion running approx 550 bhp.
v6 standard should see high fourteens.
V6 stage 1 should see mid fourteens.
V6 stage 2+ should see fourteens
The V6 stage 4 turbo conversion will run in the twelves with 500+ bhp and stage 4+ numbers will be coming soon.

What actual times have you recorded then?
I did six runs during the day. The first two were soft launches to see if how the clutch was holding up, then tried a little harder after that. My times are listed below.

1. 15.385sec @94.5mph
2. 15.331sec @93.6mph
3. 14.983sec @95.1mph
4. 14.998sec @93.4mph
5. 15.1sec @ 94.1mph
6. 14.904sec @ 95.7mph

Fantastic day had all round. The fastest car on the day was a modded Nissan GTR which ran a 9.341sec @ 160.1mph.

think this thread clarifies my worsed fears of a tired turbo, i hav just made my 1.8 t a stage one (exhaust, fmic, silicone boost hoses and remap) and dont get me wrong it is very quick, but i ran the strip at santa pod and only managed a 14.62 @ 95.7 mph. admittedly the dmf isnt holding up well and i get a bit of slip at about 3000rpm, but more worrying, the boost gauge intermitently loses boost... its boosting at around 21 - 23 psi typiclly, and drops to 14 - 16 for split seconds from time to time :/ but looking at the times stated in this thread, when my tt was standard it only managed a 15.19 @ 89 mph

Sounds like your DV isn't up to handling the extra boost from the map.Try with a forge 007/8 with uprated spring, that should help somewhat :)

how accurate are the 0-60 and 1/4 mile smartphone apps?

the only lag would be GPS but would that knock out the times much?
nearest strip is santapod which is too far away from here!

running stage 1 225

Hi, my boost gauge does exactly the same as lilskinz13. I still have the Bosch DV. Might look into the Forge 008! :)

Nah you can't have Hark see Steve(V6RUL) post earlier and he knows EVERYTHING
He must have sneaked on the Pod with some 120 in it.
Last time i was at the Pod with Matt, he did 14.? and won a trophy for it.
