Having spent more hours searching for our ideal car during the last two weeks than i care to think about, I'm beginning to think that Mk1 3.2 Quattro roadsters in RED don't exist,and if they do they are a very rare beast indeed.

Help me out here folks,if you've seen one or know the whereabouts of such an item for sale I would very much appreciate the heads up.

Mrs Owlie (Joanne) will only have Red as a soft top,and doesn't like the look of the Mk11 TT,she had a Mini Roadster on Demo for the day yesterday and loved it.
The Mini was a cracking little car but was no TT and £23.6k. [smiley=bigcry.gif]

Theres not much I can say as this will be Joannes car,and she never complains when a new bike appears on the scene (which is fairly often)

They are all red if you respray tem mate. And you get a lovely fresh paint to polish as well
Good luck with your search. Have a word with Neil on here and see if he can sorce you one he is in the trade so may know of one .

Theres one down my road, hes had it for years though and hes always out cleaning it! Rare indeed i think.

The first one you listed did sell as I was in contact with the seller, he just wanted a bit too much for it for me and the second one I went to see and the dents in the rear wing put me off it plus had had paint on the front end, not the genuine low mileage example I was expecting , I think it still sold though.
There's one for sale on PH's but way over priced IMO, he tried to list it here in the wrong section but didnt have enough posts so was deleted.

the one on pistonheads sounds like a nice car,but as you say wildly overpriced,and a long way for me to go if we couldn't strike a deal.

I know what you mean,unfortunately patience is not one of my virtues,it took me two years to find our last "High days" car a 97 pre facelift 2.8 Z3 it was a beauty,but I just don't think I can go through that process again.

I was trying to buy a red roadster 3.2 for stock the other day and the trader selling it said the phone had been ringing off the hook about it. Gutted looks like it would sell quickly

Not too keen on white myself, and never seen an interior like that on a TT either (not a fan of white leather either - a bit pimpy to my eyes). :?
