hi there. recently changed my brake pads on a mk2 v6 tt and now when going slow it makes a thud as if its locking on or something. unsure what i have done here. does anyone have any ideas at all. these were the front pads. all went smothly so a little unsure how i have messed it up. any ideas appreciated. thanks Jamie

Common mistake u need copper grease that will get rid on the knocking sound

really. is that all it is a bit of grease. i was going to put some on but forgot to take it with me when doing the brakes so just left it off thinking it would do no harm. cheers Jamie

If you didn't use copper grease that may well be the issue. The pistons can get stuck into the back of the pads with heat and could be them breaking free from the piston. Worth taking the pads out again and getting some grease on, surprised it hasn't been sqeaking, check the calliper bolts are tight too and they are not causing part of the issue.
