Hi i've got a Vax 6151 SX and it has stopped working, i have stripped it down and have narrowed the fault down to the speed controller for the motor.
Is there any were i can get a replacement for this part? if not the Potentiometer that controls the speed is a W H 0201 - 220k i have found some on the Maplin website but i'm now stuck as it's shows either a pot lin or pot log and i have no idea which one i have.
If it helps the nob that controls it is very short...

Thanks

Charles

Hi,

On the back of the pot you have you should see it stamped LIN or LOG, I would say it is 99% likely to be a linear pot, and even if you put the wrong one in it will still work fine, it is not critical. LOG pots are mainly used for audio applications.

The only difference between the two is the resistance curve as you turn the wiper. Google it if you need to know more.

Hope this helps.
