Brent for me too!

Avia were terrible for me 8 years ago when I claimed (I was parked and somone hit me, had their details and their insurance company addmitted fualt) Still took months for Aviva to send me a cheque (they were earning the intrest I bet once they cashed theirs from other side) [smiley=argue.gif]

Dont go near Admiral or Bell with a barge poll! They are far worse!

Brentacre are another waste of time insurance company that wont insure manchester postcodes..... Obviously they get too much business and dont care for more just like Sky ins and Greenlight. But thanks for the link :p

Ahh, I just sent you a PM to recommend Brentacre.

With regards to your last comment regarding ourselves, I have already offered an answer to this:

viewtopic.php?f=61&t=292370

Can I ask you Danny, if you were an insurer in our position (our underwriters paying out over £2 for every £1 taken in premiums in Manchester postcodes) , would you be happy to run at that sort of loss?

Quite frankly that is a load of rubbish and unless you can show proof of your claims on here then I will not believe it. Seems funny how Admiral, Aviva, Shelias wheels, Elephant, Diamond to name just a few, (they are all the ones under £600) are all willing to make such losses.......

The main point I am making is you are on here as specialist insurers however you cant even match shelias wheels haha, great advertisement for yourselves.... Lets face it, there must be plenty of members on here from Manchester that would be looking for insurance. With each of the sponsors adverts on here you should have to state a list of any areas you discriminate from to save members wasting time contacting you!

Hi Danny,

the vehicles we insure (performance, modified and imports) are usually the first to be stolen/vandalised. Standard UK insurers such as some you mention may not have the same issue we have had. We wouldn't have area restrictions imposed without good reason, as a broker we would very much like to insure every single person who contacts us, but that is impossible. It works both ways, we are often significantly more competitive than all other insurers if a customer fits our criteria.

We do not publicise our car club area exclusions and criteria as they are very complex and it would cause utter confusion but more importantly, we do insure many people in 'excluded' areas, but just not via our car club scheme.

We are however just at the end of a private message if any member wishes to check a postcode with us to see if we have an issue with it or extra critera. I do not mind posting up the main problem areas for us, 'BL' Bolton, 'OL' Oldham, 'L' Liverpool, 'BD' Bradford.

If we could help you we will, it's not a case of not wanting the business though, it is a simple case of we have been burnt in the area before and as such, the underwriters we use for our car club scheme no longer wish to take risks on in the area.

Thanks for trying us and apologies we couldn't help you.

Hi skyins
I'm in the sk61eu area, I'm 40 with 9 years no claims. A few mods stage 2 map. Exhaust, suspension. Looking for instance at the mo.car is garaged and does very low mileage I'd say less than 3000 this last year.
Can you cover me?
Thanks Trevor
