I want to fit a tempory boost gauge to test the boost, whereabouts should I fit it?

If its only temporary just run the gauge through your window. Thats what id do anyway.

agree with above, jsut chuck the hose through the window job done

Why not fit and leave it in? Boost gauge is always a good daignostic tool if nothing else.
