Hi,

just a quick question for people who have the CD changers in the glovebox rather than the iPod. . . .

does the cd changer play MP3 Cd's. If so this would be better than the iPod connecter, would it be a straight swap?

Why not get the HU with the 6 cd changer built in and keep the ipod dock as well.

I do use ds cards but I have more music that can fit on two sd cards.
So all the other music that is on my iPod is nightmare to find as there are no name tags!!!!
Do mp3 CDs work and provide tag names etc???

The answer to your question is yes. Mp3 will play in the cd changer, but, it will not read tags or track names.

Limiting factor is the interface, not the device be it USB, CD or ipod.
No tags...

I havnt got an aux jack so can't do that.
Looks like I might aswell keep the iPod dock and 2 sd cards.

Wouldn't 2 4gb SD cards hold more than 6 cds anyway

I believe max size in older RNS-E for SD cards is 2GB.
