I have one tip to anyone who is going to try this. I did not have the vw tool to compress the timing chain tensioner, so i unbolted the tensioner and tried to manually compress it and could not get it to budge one bit. At that point i wondered how a plastic tool would move it. So i hit the starter very quick, two times. This is where i give the warning to rebolt the tensioner down because i did not. That will put the cams in a different place which may give more slack on the chain. To my luck it moved the tensioner enough i could get the half moon seal and the flat seal out no problem. But i do not recomend doing it without the tool or turning the motor over with the tensioner unbolted. This is just a tip about rotating the cams to give more slack on the chain!

Two randoms from the job

I did forget to put the two black covers on the intake cam. And i had to tear it all back apart :(
