Hi,

My MK1 has the OEM satnav and the Concert 1 headunit (with bose). I want to change the headunit (Concert 1 is too poor...) and I wonder if changing the headunit will cause losing the OEM satnav.

What should I do to change the headunit and not losing the satnav?

no it wont

i have the same setup

all i have lost is the bit above the DIS that tells you what disc number is playing

Yeap, agree. You dont lose the satnav as its only connected to the concert stereo for audio purposes..
As long as you make the right connection with the new headunit, you get to keep the audio too..

have it proffesionally fitted in that case.

cost £70 for me but it goes through the bose amp, sat nav is still fully working and had to remove the glovebox for the ipod connection
