Hi Guys,

I know the Anti roll bar bushes need changing, and I've got it booked in when I'm on holiday next week, but I've got a strange clunk type noise as I drive away, which I'm not sure if it's the bushes.
If I pull away in a straight line or turning to the left, it doesn't make a noise. But If I pull away with around half a turn of right hand lock in first gear I hear maybe two or three short clunk type noises. Not every time, but more often than not.
I don't get any knocking over bumps etc, so I'm wondering if the noise could be a driveshaft? They sound OK on full lock.
Could the ARBs create a 'one direction' noise. I've had the wheels off and there is nothing obvious fouling.

should be a simple one to diagnose, apologies if I am wrong - I believe what you're experiencing is a worn inner CV joint

inner CV joint - noise when you pull away
outer CV joint - noise when your steering left/right near or at full lock

Thanks for the reply. Does it make sense that the noise is only at one condition, i.e. with some right hand lock?
