I mounted my Forge FMIC last weekend.

Now I got the idea to make an airduct on either side of the car and lead the air to the intake side through the old pipe that connects the seperate intercoolers.

Any thoughts on this about performance? I am going to RAM IT into a P-Flow

You could, most people just run a cold air feed from the left hand side bottom vent and up through the original hole for the air filter you can get a 75 to 80mm duct in if of you remove some of the inner wing steelwork.

I dont think you can get too much cold air in so give it a go. I managed to get 80mm ducting from my RAMAIR kit through the gap behind the Near side headlight and down in front of the N/S grill without cutting any bodywork so it is possible with the SMIC's removed.

a filter located down there out of the engine room would give the coldest air for best performance IMO
Unfortunatelly that will not fit in any way possible.

The hoses coming from the FMIC will block the way.

Second, the risk of a complete soaking wet filter in the rain scares me...
