A few weeks ago I removed the hatchback cover, put 3 pieces of underlay on top of the existing foam and replaced cover, I then replaced the latch ring but fixed it in its heighest position so that the boot is further down when latched. Drove her 140 miles today and no creaks or groans from the back, its bliss. :D

Sorry, unusual for me not to have taken any pics and I'm not removing it now she's quiet...sorry.

It is dead easy to do though, just pull off the locking ring plastic cover and remove the locking ring/hook then pull the card down, the bottom comes off easily but the upper part needs more force, then just tape some underlay over the existing foam, just one piece on each will do then slide the card back into place making sure the top guide slits are in place and check the clips are aligned then hit them home. When putting the clamping hook/ring back in place leave the 2 screws loose then just push it upwards and tighten the screws. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
