As far as I recall, I test drove a TDI roadster with a DSG (S-tronic) gearbox prior to buying my current car in 2014.
Also my 2010 UK sales brochure lists them.
Maybe just rare?

Ah right
When I was looking at getting one there were none for sale so just thought they didn’t make them.
