Does anyone have a Bentley Workshop Manual for the Mk 1 8N TT?

I'm just looking for some torque figures.

Torque figures are for suspension components on a late 2005 FWD TT 187PS:

Front suspension strut piston rod nut
Anti-roll bar connecting link to strut
Hub clamp bolt around strut
Rear damper bottom mounting bolt
Rear damper top mounting plate bolts
Rear damper piston rod nut

44ft/lbs
66ft/lbs
44ft/lbs
22ft/lbs + qtr turn
30ft/lbs + qtr turn
18ft/lbs

Are you sure the anti-roll bar connecting link nut where it attaches to the strut is 66ft.lbs? It just seems a bit high to me for the diameter of thread.

Torque figures are for suspension components on a late 2005 FWD TT 187PS:

Front suspension strut piston rod nut - 60Nm (New nuts)
Anti-roll bar connecting link to strut - 90Nm (New nuts)
Hub clamp bolt around strut - 60Nm + 90 degrees (new bolts)
Rear damper bottom mounting bolt - 40Nm + 90 degrees (New bolts)
Rear damper top mounting plate bolts - 30Nm + 90 degrees (use new bolts)
Rear damper piston rod nut - 25Nm (replace)

Looks like your anti-roll bar link torque confirms the one given by Hoggy although there's a difference of opinion on the rear damper top and bottom mounting bolt torques! :wink:

I wonder who's correct! :lol:

P.S. All new mounting bolts and nuts sourced John. If a job's worth doing......... :wink:

Hi Alan confirm John is correct.

Top 30Nm 22ft/lbs
bottom 40Nm 30ft/lbs

Had it wrong way round.
