On way back from Kneesworth meet last night the light came on!
update....checked under car tonight! liquid dripping centrally behind front axle?? pretty sure its water as no smell!!
Any suggestions?
thinking air con!!
Funnily enough when i filled up with fuel the light went off only to return later!

The light went off for a while, had it booked in for 21st anyway for a check!
Wednesday it became difficult to start, having to take key out and press unlock a few times before putting key back and starting up!
Friday it started to flash and at the same time the engine went a bit lumpy, eased off the power and the light stopped flashing, put a bit more power on, it started flashing again...
There were no other lights showing on dash to indicate a fault.
Anyway i drove home carefully (Friday) and wont use till Tues when it goes back to Garage.

Has anyone come across this before?

Got the recall for the coilpacks .... to be done soon!

Get VAGCOM off ebay mate around £7

Hi TTstang, Could be a coilpack, but would just be guessing, req a VagCom scan for fault code.
Dripping is more than likely condensate from aircon & not related.

Prob get a VAGcom anyway!

Had car in for diagnostic check, mechanic told me he thinks its a camshaft sensor, so wait till Thurs / Fri till they get it in!
Got a crap 2002 diesel Vectra till then... :? :x

Cambelt sensors are quite cheap so bill should be ok :wink:

Done the Sensor today, so starts good!
still misfiring (sort that next Thurs tho!)
