I'm going to replace my exhaust shorty and notice the price can vary quite a bit dependant on if you go non resonated or resonated, how much of a difference is there between the two? Are we talking a huge amount of noise?

I was going to go for the non resonated cat back when i was planning to change mine but i was told that milltek were discontinuing the non res systems.
Also i was told it might be uncomfortably loud in the cabin if youre doing long runs.

I have the resonated system and its ok, a bit of drone around 60mph but its not uncomfortable.

Like I said in another post, "it's all subjective". Personally I'd go the non-res option. Why bother swapping the zorst if you're not gonna bother with some extra dbs? I Like multi-cylinder noise, hearing it is the whole point of changing the zorst - and hopefully a few more BHP ... but really it's about noise, so non-res all the way...

The resonated system gives a deep growl at all rev ranges, it is loud enough for when you want it to be, like when youre overtaking.... plus at tickover it lets you hear every cylinder but with a slight muffled note.
Its perfect and fits with the TT's class and looks.

Gordon mate, im home in about 10 days, ill record some sound of mine if you like..... thats if you havent already made up your mind.

Always go for a resonated system. Once you grow out of the boy-racer phase, you'll regret a non-resonated system. I bought one a few years ago (well, 10 actually) and loved it at first. Once I got tired of setting off alarms on parked cars and my bleeding ear drums, I drove down to shit fit one day and just bought a cheapo standard exhaust. I just got so sick of the noise.

Ive done every sort of combo on the exhaust and full Milltek c/w headers and res section proved to be the best noise combo for the Milltek. Cabin noise will kill you if you go non res. There shouldn't be a price difference between going res or non.
Know i know Pipewerx exist, they do all of my exhaust mods incl my new S/S 3" exhaust bypass system.

Thanks Steve, I'll have a look at this, there is almost £100 of a difference between the res and non res systems on eBay!
