Hi,

Seem to be on a roll with repairing and doing general engine bay maintenance lately.

Today I was fixing a broken injector wire and at the bottom of the engine bay as well as cleaning the throttle body and I noticed a hole with exposed teeth and a couple of mechanical parts inside. they looked dry and not oiled - Surely they shouldn't be exposed to the elements?

Here is a photo (As best as I could get it)

There is a rubber bung that goes in there , that's the flywheel you can see and it needs no oiling.

Do a search for gearbox plug and u should find the part number it's less than a £ from TPS

Hi, It should be concealed with a rubber plug, but it's only for checking piston TDC position so nothing to worry about, & no lube req.
Hoggy. :D
