It's also a good chance to introduce myself and my car as I've been on the forum a lot over the last 6-8 weeks. As you've probably guessed my name is Craig I live in Timperley (Altrincham) and I have owned my TT since may this year, I bought the car from a dealer in Brighton (5 hours from me) for the unbelievable price of £2800, He had listed it as spares or repair due to a dent in the bonnet and a suspected wheel bearing (turned out to be warn tyres :) ) I rang him as soon as i spotted the car asked a few questions and left a deposit straight away, I then went to Essex on the Friday night as my brother and his dad were going any way and then got the train from there on the Saturday to Brighton. When I got there I couldn't have been more pleased, It was absolutely Immaculate (except the dent). I then started the long drive back to Cheshire which it did effortlessly. After a month or so and more people having a go of it I started to think that it wasn't as quick as it should be so after a trip to V.A.G technik it turned out to be the breather pipes which once changed transformed the car I also changed the air mass meter just as a precaution. Since then I have changed the wheels to 18' rs6's with brand new tyres I will also be changing the grill and suspension to the later set up (original parts only). I'm not in to changing anything on the engine as I would rather keep to quick and reliable rather than super sonic and temperamental. I may put a custom exhaust on it if they can do one that is nice and quiet until you put you foot down and then gives a nice note ??. I'm also toying with the idea of the lcr splitter some times I think it looks good and other times I don't.

I first fell in love with Audi's when I did my work experience in 2000 at Manchester Audi ever since then I've wanted a TT and I'm glad to say that it hasn't disappointed me.

list of cars that I've had :-
2004- ford escort
2004- vauxhall vectra
2005- vauxhall astra sri
2006- Seat toledo
2007- 206 gti (3 months didn't like it)
2007- astra sri (fantastic cars)
2008- fiat doblo van (CRAP)
2009- astra sport van
2009- 06 Bmw 3 series (also still have bmw)
2010- vectra sri + box trailer for valeting
2010- peugeot partner van (car and trailer was a pain in the arse for valeting)
2011- mgzt and mgtf (got them cheap to sell on)
2012- AUDI TT + still got the 3 series

As you can see I've had a lot of cars before arriving at the perfect combination Audi and Bmw. I have had many others as I do car sales as well as owning a valeting company !! I've also had the use of a lot of company cars due to my job at a car rental company from o6-09.

any way here is my TT and 3 series.

That's what we like to hear! I won't be there on the 4th unfortunately, but there will be plenty of others there. I'll see you at the October meet.

Sadly you've missed the NW summer shows for this year, (the last one, and the best, was the German Classic Car Show at Haigh Hall in Wigan on 12.8.12) but we have our monthly meets and there could be some more events between now and the end of the year anyway. 8)

I did manage to attend the haigh hall show but as it was throwing it down and I didn't know any body at the TT stand I looked around the cars and left.. how many usually turn up on the monthly meets ?

Should've headed under the gazebo with us all when it was raining - we're a welcoming bunch!

The number of attendees at monthly meets varies. I think the fewest we've had is around 5 or 6, whilst the most was about 20. The average is generally around 10 or so. At the Sandpiper, park at the far end of the carpark and you'll find all the other TTs there. If you land around 7.30pm you'll find some other members standing near the cars (but if it's cold and/or raining, we'll all be in the pub as, being hairdressers, we don't like getting cold or wet :p ), but if you're earlier or later than that, just head into the pub and you'll find us; we're usually on one of the tables near the bar :p Most of us eat at the meat also, as the two venues both have very good menus.
