hi im new to the site and have an audi tt 225 2002, i am having problems with the cd changer, it looks liek there is no power going to it :S, all the equipment is standard audi???

hi fuse 42 is the head unit but i gather thats working ok

yeah iv checked the fuses and they are fine i spoke to the lady at audi and she said something about the ipod cable in the glove box :S

lol mate mine does, im not sure if it was added after or not, but its there , do you think if i unplug the ipod cable from the head unit the cd changer might work??

you could have a go won't do no harm if no joy i would check to make sure the changer is plugged in as the ipod cable did not come standard let us know how you get on. by the way where abouts are you

The ipod conection is plugged in instead of changer by the sound of it.

if you can control the IPOD from the head unit in CD mode then its likely you have the Audi IPOD adapter, does the ipod display Audi rings when connected?

It may be different with something else, but the Audi adapter replaces the CD pins in the oem loom and the changer pins are taped up and tucked into the dash so the changer becomes redundant.

Like Wak said, when you connect up an ipod with an offical connector you lose the abiity to control your CD changer, you either have one or the other, unless a switching device is installed. So that's probably your problem. If you don't use an ipod, simply remove the connector and re-fit the one for the CD changer.
