I was changing my side light bulbs today and on the passenger side managed to snap the metal clip that holds the light covers tight out of its plastic mounts. I have managed to wedge the cover shut but its not as tight as it would be when clipped in properly. Does anyone know if much water even reaches this area? I can't see that it would but wanted to make sure.

If not, does anyone have any tips on how to keep it shut properly?

Get a clip from Audi . Its not the water I'd worry about its more the moisture that condensates inside that does the damage from not being sealed properly .

The metal clip is fine, its the plastic mount that has broken, is this part of the headlight assembly? I can get a picture if it helps!

Epoxy the plastic bit back on reattach metal clip job done . Get hour or half hour epoxy as it is stronger than the 5/15 min stuff. Your first post says you broke the metal clip mate. Hence my first post.
