Just got back from spending the best part of the day at Midland VW, I booked with them on forum recommendation and after making contact with Jody and getting info and quotes I was happy with my choice.
For what my opinion is worth, they are knowledgable, pleasant and with a great attitude to being competitive in terms of pricing - without compromising quality.

I had full service
cambelt/water pump service, inc aux belt
haldex oil and filter
brake fluid change
new pads front and rear.

They also fitted my sportscat that I recently purchased off a forum member. And I was very pleased with the final bill.
Very impressed and will be going back in the future, despite the M6!

Hi, I tried to Google this garage, to no avail, it could be one of many! Would you happen to have an address or email address please?

Hope you guys are right as I have just booked a full service and Haldex for Sat 17th Jan.

A certain other recommended specialist didn't even ring me back with a price :(

You won't be disappointed. I'm back there tomorrow morning for some suspension work.

Thanks for recommending Midland VW Guys as I'm there right now having the service done.

They have wireless internet connection, supply plenty of tea and cofee and there is a small cafe just a few doors done.

The Engine managment light came on at the same time as the service indicator so I panicked at the possible cost but the problem is only a coolant sensor which was diagnosed within minutes of my arrival so I was able to sit back and surf the net, hence the high number of posts from me today!!

Booked in Thursday for new clutch. Hate spending money when it won't make the car any quicker, but at least I know the car is in good hands.

Very pleased with the quality of work at Midland VW.

Had the service and haldex done on Sat along with a replacement coolant temp sensor. The car also needed a thermostat fitting which was booked in and fitted on Wednesday.

Just got back home from my day at Midland.
Had the clutch, release bearing, flywheel and master cylinder all replaced and I can't believe how different the car feels now.
Anyway, needless to say the service was excellent and the price was exactly what I have come to expect - brilliant.
The tech who fixed my car also inspected my clutch pedal and found I had been very lucky to avoid the famous snapping pedal.
So he kindly welded it up for me before he put it back in - thats one thing I won't now have to worry about. :p

I am booked in for Monday, service, cam belt, and coil spring. Could those of you who have been there let me know if there is anything to do within walking distance? I don't fancy sitting for four hours thumb twiddling!

If you have a wireless laptop they have a quick internet connection (and a large pile of car magazines!!)

I would wrap up warm as it was a bit cold in the waiting room. There is a cafe nearby but I'm not sure what else as I just surfed the net for a few hours.

Could you tell Jody that you were recommended by the guy with the Red TT that had the service done and had the thermostat and sensor changed a couple of weeks ago!!
