Called today to book in for a full service next Thursday and was very impressed with the time and patience given to me on the phone.
Full review to follow after the work has been done.

After a few recommendations here on the forum I went to see http://www.midlandvw.co.uk/ these guys up in Cannock - North Staffordshire last weekend for Cambelt/Water pump.

Nice clean friendly place and they specialise in VW-Audi-Seat-Skoda

Can't say enough good things about these guys. Really felt at ease and whilst I was waiting I noticed a steady flow of customers and a lot of repeat customers which was a good sign!

Their prices and service is excellent - way cheaper than going to the Dealers and they use OEM parts! So you'll save a heap load in labour costs.

At the end I felt I could really trust them - especially after they told me that my rear ARB didn't need replacing, this after I was told by an Audi dealer that it did.

Hats of to Jody for his patience and honesty too when I asked about certain mods - could have quite easily just said yes do this and do that.

So if your looking for someone to take care of your TT and your in or around the Midlands then I would definitely recommend giving Jody @ MidlandVW a call.

MOT carried out today by Midland VW, in and out with no problems.
Arrived first thing and whilst waiting a very steady stream of customers, most of which appear to be "regulars".
Great service again.

Just rang up for and spoke to Jackie for a quote on a new clutch, and DMF, was quoted £975. Bit more than I was expecting as I've seen others on here pay in the region of £850.

Rated! I went there needing a new clutch and a DMF. Expensive job! But, jody said not to bother with the DMF as they hardly ever fail and is a myth to have to get them changed at the same time. So instead of going for the money he went for the service choice! worth racking up the miles to get there and if you have a days worth of work needed, they will drop you to the train station so you can spend it in Birmingham centre like i did.

Great garage, great people, and if you have a better quote, tell them and they will do the best to help.

Cannot recommend this garage enough, I went in asking for a full service, and wheel alignment, and boost leak smoke test.

After visual inspection and a drive, I was told the smoke test wasn't necessary, so the total bill came to £200 :p

I was given great updates, went for a test drive with the mechanic, was told about a few minor things I could do myself, and was able to sit in the offices for three hours, playing on the internet on my laptop. Excellent communication throughout, I will definitely be back for all my further Audi work.

Worth also noting how honest and knowledgeable all the staff were, really instils trust

Did you ask the dealers for a price match ?
I did, worked out at just £20 more but had the car picked up, work done, cleaned and brought back to work. Plus dealer stamp.

No never asked for price match. I paid £350 all in. Dealers all quoted £429 and other independents were £400 so I thought it was a good deal.
While I was there a guy brought in an A4 he had purchased, he had taken it several times to a local Audi dealer (not going to say which one) with loss of power and management lights etc. In the end one of the techs at the dealers told him to take it to Midland VW they will sort it., and within a couple of hours it was.
Can't get better recommendations than that.

I'm a first time owner of a TT, two weeks now, and had been looking around for a reputable garage. I only live 4 miles from MVW and with the great feedback on here I think my search has ended! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
