Hi,
How do you decrypt the chassis number to order parts. e.g. timing belt kit / flywheel

e.g. vin - truzzz8n321040432 (not actually mine but close)
Which digits to look at, guy in gsf said like knock off the last digit, hope he was right??

Timing belt kit
To Chassis No. 8n-y-095 000
From Chassis No. 8n-y-095 001

Flywheel
VIN To 2#016000
VIN From 2#016001 (ordered this one)

It's the last 6 digits, so I ordered the wrong timing belt kit useless old guy in GSF.
a Plus, the 040432 timing belt is 50 quid cheaper

An update on how and where to buy timing belts / clutches / flywheels / water pumps

Conti have 2 models with dampener and roller, strangely the higher number is for the older car!

carpartsforless is identical to eurocarparts but cheaper even with forum code.
I used save5 for 5% off but only after I'd already ordered clutches from eurocarparts.

ALSO they deliver next day, ECP take 2-3 days.

EDIT - FFS, eurocarparts have a 25% which works on everything - lastchance25, just sent to me because I was comparing what i paid to the partsforless.
