I've just received some samples of a couple of Meguiars waxes.

Megs Gold Class and Megs NXT Tech Wax.

Has anyone ever tried any of these before with good results?

I'm looking for a wet look on my silver TT.

I used to use Zymol Cleaner Wax on my Lotus but I thought it was time for a change. But there are so many on the market with such a price range???

I have used them both they are both very good the NXT is the better of the 2 but Swisvax Saphire is better still
As with all wases prep work is the key wash clay polish wax then wax again

For silver cars you are better using a sealant than a wax to get a good wet looking finish, Megs #21 would do a good job. Problem is if you're finishing your car by hand then you're never going to get the best out of the top performing products other than waxes.

To be, I really like hand polishing, it's kind of theraputic.

So I guess I might not get the machine finish I want...So it may indeed be waxes for now

Thats a really inconsistent set of products there. The collinite is a Wax not a polish. Polish is abrasive. Cleaners/Cleansers/CleanerWaxes are not very abrasive but have cleaning fluids in, Waxes are the top coat only.

Last year Auto Express gave their "best polish" award to Comma.

As a result of that i bought some.

In a word.....................CRAP.

I use NXT tech wax after the JBB, its works a treat.

Trouble with Autoexpress is they look at the VFM factor with products so although a product could be mediocre it gets a better score causes its £2-3 less to buy. Cocks the test up imho. They should just say here are products in a price range and this the best.

Poorboys products can get you a good wet look btw.
