For the mechanics and chemical engineers on the forum....

My amateur opinion thinks that Coolant is full of chemicals (and alcohol) that has a shelf life and would loose its properites over time.

So having old fluid would probably contribute to rust / deteriation of inside of radiator?? I also assume old fluid does not cool the engine as efficiently as fresh coolant.

Since radiators are expensive to replace, would it not be cost effective to replace fluid often (once a year?). (( not to mention not experiencing an overheat ))
QUESTIONs:
1. Anyone had to replace a worn out radiator yet on their TT?
2. How often should engine coolant be replaced? (besides every time the water pump breaks... personal experience.) Cheers -- TTitan
