Hi Mudbug,

You have to remove the whole light cluster from the rear, access can be gained via the rear flap inside the boot, take a look at Wak's web site he has done a how-to list of small jobs.

This is my first post. Just got a 2001 TT yesterday!

How do you change the bulbs on the rear lights? How do I get the light fitting out to change the bulb?

Mudbug, hello and welcome to the forum, the bulbs in the rear lights are much easier to change than the headlamp bulbs. The TT's boot has two small doors/flaps on the inner sidewalls. If you open these doors you then have two bolts top and bottom with plastic heads (that can be that can be turned by hand) then you simply remove the back light. It comes straight out. Making it's easy to replace bulbs
