hi ime new to the tt and have red your post saying just getting a cable and to check engine coads what do you do with the cable you must need somthing else

Its a usb cable with an interface on one end and you need to download the software from ross tech
It is used with a laptop and it scans the car to check and read codes , it also resets fault codes and various other aplications . its a great piece of kit

thanks for the info i have one of those small held code readers from ebay, how does it differ from the one your on about what benafits will i get im'e not clued up at all

The £17.99 (includes a version of the software) is about half the cost that my local independant charges for error code resets for things like air bag faults.
