Just watching a programm on the Saxon gold found in a field down the road from me and I do mean just down the road about 3 roads away!!!!! lucky buggers!! :lol: it's on sky 527 if any interested!

A few coins may have fell out on it's way to the site... a gold coin is worth quite a bit, I think a gold sovereign (pound, but made of gold) is about £200 these days, and that'll be a current one. If it's ancient then it's treasure!!

The experts having been checking the site this week but up to yet have found nothing more. A friend of mine is related to the finder and the farmer who owns the land,each a second cousin on both sides of his family. They have shared the 3 million

They are so lucky, once in a life time event for them and everyone in volved!
Funny to think we were all walking -driving past 3 million pounds in that field! LOL!

where do you live then? are you coming to meet at Bowling Green on Wednesday?

I live near Five Ways Island Heath Hayes. I been there done it all with the meets no offence. I now have other hobbies things to do but I am going to the annual meet at Duxford, see you there :wink:
