Hi all,

The emissions control warning light (engine type symbol) came on constantly whilst driving last week and (thankfully under warranty) its been to the dealers to get fixed (EGR).

Everything seems fine but I noticed that the light does not go out until the engine is started (all the other lights go out after a brief period - except the handbrake and alternator ones).

I can't say I normally watch the lights go out and just wait until the pre-heat is done then fire up and drive away so I don't know if it is supposed to go out or not - the handbook implies that all lights go out after the system health check has passed. So does anyone know if this light should go out or should stay on until the engine is started?

Thanks
