It seems like there are a lot of temp/thermostat indicator problems in these early TTs, Mine included. Mine shows just over half while ignition is off and engine is cool (overnite). Then pegs to the far right when ignition is turned on. Is there a common fix or a company that makes a kit to fix this. I don't know if it is the thermostat on the engine or the indicator in the cluster. I wouldn't mind going aftermarket so that I can see actual temp instead of heat level.

Hi ob1coby , Sounds like dashpod prob to me. Check the actual coolant temp by using Code 49c on Climate Control. If gauge working correctly it will show 90 when actual coolant temp is anywhere between 82 & 98 as it's weighted to read 90.
Click link follow instructions.. Code 49c coolant temp, not engine temp
Hoggy. :D
