Hi all,
I noticed that my temp gauge only goes up to 70-75 degrees so I done the 51C test and the dash displays a constant 90 after say 15 mins.
Do you reckon I need a new thermostat or temp sender?

Thanks

Hi, Code 51c is not the coolant temperature, use Code 49c. Let us know the results.
If 49c shows the same low temp as gauge its usually the thermostat.

Just back from a spin and done the 49C test... Both the gauge and the dash temps match up but only hover from 70-78 Degrees. Are they meant to reach a constant 90?

Hi, Gauge is weighted to read 90 anywhere in between 82 & 98. Your coolant temp is reading low, so replace thermostat.
If you leave it idling, it will probably rise to 90 which confirms faulty thermostat.
