Hi folks,

Got linked to this off the R32 forum today. Its a story of a guy on Scoobynet who is trying to arrange a meet for modified cars for his son who has just weeks to live.

http://bbs.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-gene ... -help.html

I am sure anyone with a high end/modified or show car would be welcome to support this as it seems the modified world is coming together to ensure this family have a wonderful day to remember.

hi all i cant believe im about to say this but here goes i have just been informed that my 11 year old son has around 4 weeks to live for those who dont know he had leukeamia aged 2 and beat it then last year we had the devastating news that he had a cancerous brain tumor they operated and removed it and we thought all was well until friday when we were given the news it had returned in 2 places and there is nothing more they can do to help him as you can imagine we are totally devastated and have to try to make the most of our time left with our little boy so heres where i hope you can all help me i promised him a few weeks ago before i found out about this that i would take him to a car gathering as he is a massive fan of sports/modified cars mainly subaru,s evo,s etc but i cannot find one so i thought i would try arrange one just for him so i can keep that promise!
i have arranged with FRED LAWTON LTD MELTHAM MILLS INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, MELTHAM HUDDERSFIELD,HD9 4AY to be able to use there car park for the gathering which i would like to hold on saturday the 8th of september starting from 1 pm. everybody and every type of car is welcome so please please please come if you

so sad Matt, do let me know if i can help out in anyway as i don't think my passat would count m8ee.
I am actually away when this event is on (and my car will no doubt still be in dry dock) but it would be great if maybe the forum could raise some cash to give the family a present, supercar experience or something for the boy. He only has weeks and I am sure they will be trying to cram as much as possible into every last second. Its so sad. I cant imagine losing one of my kids, brought me to tears reading the thread.

You'd hardly credit it, but for those who can recall a similar call to action on this forum two years ago, the young lad's name is Connor.

From the father of the boy...

thank you so much andi it is the something i never in my wildest nightmares thought i would ever have to write and yes was absolutely devastating the paypal idea is very nice but think any donations would go to a childrens cancer charity as all i want is a great turnout for him on the night! if anyone would like to do that please feel free my paypal address is [email protected] but obviously do not feel obliged to do so and i will make sure that i post up some proof of the donation for all to see. taking little man out now so will reply to any messages on the thread when i get home. thank you so much everybody from me and my family!
If anyone wants to donate to the family, money can be sent by Paypal to the father for donation to cancer charities by using [email protected] :)
