Ive just joined the site - sorry if this should be posted elsewhere!

I've just purchased a TTS S tronic and absolutely love the car.
Just a general question perhaps somebody can help me with.
When in drive you can hear a click of the gear changes between 1,2 and 3 this is only really noticeable with roof down or windows open. If in slow moving traffic for a while it's really noticeable, the non Audi dealer tells me the gearbox is Perfect and the car has only done 13,000 miles.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in anticipation.

Thanks Ikon66'

I tried to find something on the Internet on this and on 'ask a mechanic' a US site it said clicking between gears was sign of a gear train hub problem and get it to a stealership as soon as.......

As I've never driven an STronic before I didnt know if gear changes were silent or changed with a mechanical 'click'.

On my second S-tronic and never heard a 'click' before when changing gear. Mind, this should be good news for you as my last one (DSG) went 'pop'!!

Mine has always clicked from new. I really only hear it with the roof down.
Could be the tin roofers just don't know it clicks.

Popped into Bristol Audi today, the clicking turned out to be the flap on the exhaust.
No issues just a click, :D

They did offer to change the back box for me if it was annoying
