Hi guys

We just wanted to highlight the resolve we found for multi cylinder misfire. The car would misfire but when warm or warmed to 50 degrees centigrade or above the engine would run fine but when started from cold misfire would reappear. As our car is dsg this made it impossible to drive when cold. No fault codes on vcds. There are 2 camshaft sensors 1 on each end of the camshaft Audi call them g40 (position sensor) and the other g28 (speed sensor) which I think are inturn linked together. We found the position sensor which is secured by a 5 mm allen screw to be slightly loose after which we tightened this fixed the problem.

I post this hoping you don't replace (if you have a similar problem) - afm, coolant temp sender, spark plugs, coil packs and we even began to suspect worn camshaft chain tensioners and/or loose manifold.
