Hi all,

Quick question. I am looking to buy some new wheel for a 57 plate TT. I have found some from a Audi A4, they say they have an offset of 2x 43 and 2x 48. Also the tyres are235 / 35 / 19. Will these fit the TT without spacers or anything like that???

Also they are Audi wheels so can I just use the same bolts??

Many thanks for your help.

Hi Derek, Yes should fit O.K. & if you have OEM wheels now, then OEM bolts will be O.K. All A4s are 5 x 112 I believe.

19" wheels for the TT are 9J with an offset of ET52.

Given the tyre size you quote the A4 wheels may be narrower and that together with the offset will determine how far out/in they sit compared to what you have now.

You need to check the centre bore as well: should be 57.1mm to fit straight on the TT.

If by 2 x 43 and 2 x 48 you mean that there's a pair of wheels with ET43 and a pair with ET48 then that, at first sight, seems odd although maybe that's correct for an A4.

Hi, Audi A4 wheels are 57.1 bore, so should fit O.K.

I'm not aware of any A4's with staggered wheels and beware the term A4. Older A4's were certainly centre bore 57.1mm but the newest A4 (8K) has a 66.6mm centre bore so they would need spigot rings.

Indeed, the only 19" wheels I'm aware of with an ET of 48 are the RS4 wheels from the A6 Le Mans special edition and they fit straight on, no issues (as evidenced by Jetlag running them).

Hi Derek, if they are 5 x 112, bore of 57.1 & that ET you quoted they should fit.
May be strange haveing different ETs, perhaps some A4s did have different ETs, but that will bring them closer to the arch without spacers.

Hi Derek, As long as you put ET 43 wheels on the rear & 48 on the front.
Will be similar to some who put 25mm spacers on the rear & 20mm spacers on the front.
