Hi All,

Quick question -

what the best way to check the oil in a TTS.

i.e idle the engine from cold for 5 mins - turn off the check the dip stick?

Wait to oil reaches a certain temp then turn off - check dip stick?

Or drive car - stop then check dip stick?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Hi, With TT on level ground, once warm/hot engine shut down, wait 5 minutes for oil to drain back to sump, remove dipstick, wipe, reinsert & remove dipstick to check level. If adding oil, Don't overfill.
Never leave a cold engine idling.

no - just let it drain to sump after a few minutes. You get false results checking too soon after switching engine off

I drive it into the garage after having been for a run, leave overnight and check in the morning
