Are 'Comps' the same thing as 'Fat Fives'.

Hi folks,

I have a 2001 225 that I'm in the process of restoring. It currently has the standard 17" Ronals and whilst I like them, they're also in need of a refurb. I recently read a post on the forum about the other wheels that were offered as dealer options when the car was purchased. I'm planning on keeping the car totally standard .... but I can't help finding myself drawn to the 17" Competition alloys that were an option. I've found a few sets in the North West but I was wondering if anyone knew:

Are '17" Comps' and '17" Fat Fives' the same thing?
I've seen some of the wheels with a sliver finish and other polished? Which was standard?
Are the Comps 5 x 100 and will they take a 225/45/17 tyre?

I don't suppose anyone has a pic of a totally standard MK1 with these wheels? All of the pictures I have found on the internet show cars that are lowered.

Thanks very much,

Paul.
