Hi all , just bought a used tt shop armrest , I kniw you'd probably not use in the raised position, but should it stay in the raised position if need be ?
This one just drops down ans I can't see how the hinge dismantles to investigate. Thanks

I’ve got 2 had them for 22 years and they should and still do stay up when needed

@Tony, if you decided that you need to move it on as it is too faulty for your standards, I'm sure your Yank brother in Texas will be happy to spend a few quid for it.

Sorted this now , I was trying it up whilst one arm wasn't attached to the pad , id ordered 4 new bolts for the pad and 4 for the base .
Next question to save stripping cupholder out prior , what size bolts are used to hold it together the car centre tunnel please , I assume these need to be li ger than the standard fixings in the car .thanks tony
