I'm selling my car due to this dilemma [smiley=bigcry.gif]
He's almost six months forward faced in the rear left passenger seat as I don't like him looking out the back and he loves being in the car smiling away when he's awake or just looking at me.

Got a basic argos one and it's a very tight squeeze even though the misses is 5ft 3"

I have a golf gti mk5 dsg 5 door which I bought for the family car and was meant to sell the tiTTy lol

Only problem is here in the UK all cars have to be insured and road fund licences to keep them on the public road as I don't have a garage to store the cars in. so have to sell the audi as two cars aren't ideal in the country I'm living in. Will also sell the gti as I'm not very fond of it and regret jumping into buying it.

sad times

I actually blame the misses as she didn't want a car when I initially said I'd buy her a car for the family and I keep the TT and now she asks if I'd buy her a car [smiley=bigcry.gif] 7k golf wt* [smiley=bomb.gif]

If I remember correctly, you have a driveway right? I would imagine it would be cheaper to build a little small garage out of bricks, and then sell the golf, and use that money to pay for the garage and a cheap daily? That's what I would do at least, Inspiration from the "show me your garage" thread, one of the guys there built his own and it looks pretty nifty.

sadly no drive way else I wouldn't have stressed about leaving my car there or having two cars and one SORN as they call it in the UK statutory off road notification :x

so I doomed to sell regardless.

Thanks for trying but I've no nope of keeping my tt :(

Recaro Monza Nova IS (ISOFIX) on mine. OK for now.

The pic is from last october, my baby was a little too small for his seat.

Yes, I've used a Recaro Young Sport seat in the TT until quite recently. Recaro seat is a great child seat in my opinion. Of course they're all built and tested to the same basic safety standard so you can just buy a paupers one from Asda if you want, but I've seen these and they don't offer much support e.g. when child falls asleep and starts lolling to the side. I don't understand the comments about it being a waste of money, we got ours for ÂŁ115 and it by successive dismantling (designed) it will basically last the life of the child (unless crashed). It's a tight fit in the back of the TT and protrudes slightly over the rear bench. You can make your own decision over how comfortable you are with this setup from a safety point of view. In our case we weren't sing the car every day and most journeys < 5 mins to childcare etc. Our daughter was very happy in it up to ~ 18 months, but beyond that you need another solution - the problem is it's quite long so the legs don't go down. In my case I felt it time to move on so sold the car.

ISOFix makes quite a difference too.
The Duo Plus has ISOFix but can also be held by just the belt if required.
The first time I put it in the TT I couldn't find the ISOFix mountings, so used the belt.
After that I delved deeper into the seat base (they are further in than you think!) and found the ISOFix.
Using the ISOFix mountings, the seat fits further back, helping leg room a bit and is held very securely.

Mine is 20 months old, and there is not a lot of space for his legs. I think it will be better when he will have the possibility to bend his legs

ISOFIX mounts can be retrofit on most of the TTs for information. For approx 40ÂŁ
