Oh wow how haven't I seen this before! I'm gonna have a ball trawling through all those manuals on the KB lol. Also, one question with the workshop manuals, is there an alternative to the VAS 5051/B scanner they tell you to use which isn't quite so expensive? thank you!

 

VAS5051? That's old skool. VAS 5054a and 6164 are newer and more acceptable in this day and age. However for the DIYer, VCDS is perhaps more appropriate.

 

As TT'sRevenge noted, the Ross Tech VCDS Hex-V2 would be the closest diagnostic device to a VAS. Check their website for international sales in your region.
