How do you know thats the 1st clutch that broke tho at 80k? Could have had one go before  Mine shouldnt go again as been welded up :p
I have ALL the previous MOTs and bills for work carried out and although that's not a 100% guarantee its more than good enough IMO. :)
I meant DJ Les
Yep I know you did however IMO its the same for all so I thought I would try and qualify and support my statements on failures :)

Clutch and fly 60k
Clutch Pedal 58k
Were these failures or elective? Seems very low mileage.

Everyone please state whether the items failed.

I welcome electrical or electronic (andr mechanical components of all sizes) too.

Cheers guys, its really good to see this data coming in!
TOTALY DISSAGREE WITH YOUR STATMENT. Sorry buddy, you can find people on here with clutches going after 30k  Same with pedals. I will add tho my car was mapped so a bit more power and torque.

Nope they failed. Clutch pedal snapped and new one went on and welded up.
Although there may well be people on here with clutches going after 30k IME that's very unusual and a clutch even with a remap is a lot more likely to last around 90k miles than 30k. There will always be instances of premature failure as with any component. I think the intentions here are to give us an indication of how long on average a component will last as a rule rather than an exception. I understand that an average will included those failing prematurely along with those lasting well beyond the norm for any given component. Maybe what we need is a list of components with a between life span. EG clutch between 60 and 95k depending on driving style and mods which would affect it. Just an idea.
