recently, in the mornings, once i start the car, i get a "beep-beep" noise from the rear of the car for some reason, like one of those reversing warning beeps! never noticed it before, or had it with my last TT. Anyone know what i could be?

I had exactly this happen on my previous TT.
Took it into the dealer and they had it all day and said they couldn't replicate the problem. I wondered if it was to do with the Bose, like a diagnostic code beep, but they said it was more likely related to the alarm system.
Never got to the bottom of it!

Having searched the forum a bit further I've answered my own question - dud batteries in alarm siren. Many thanks for the 'How to remove siren' and 'how to replace batteries' posts.
I don't fancy cutting/wiring/gluing etc so might just disconnect it for a few days to prevent damage (I'm presuming the car will run ok with this disconnected?). Car is never left anywhere dodgy so theft is not a worry.
I have a used car warranty on the car so will see if I am covered for a replacement first.

Its your alarm which is behind the left panel in the boot -- battery is low and the beeps are either a warning reminder or just a consequence of this, mine did the same and then just went off now and then so I've disconnected it cos I believe a replacement battery is costly
