Hi

Been under a week since I got my mk2 and as I was finishing work this morning it took my 6 gos to get the boot shut!

Any ideas of how to resolve this issue?

I was gonna spray some WD40 later and see how that goes?

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If the boot eventually shut then the lock mechanism does work.

It may be something simple such as adjustment of the rubber buffers. There's one at each end of the closing edge of the boot lid. They have a coarse screw thread for adjustment so turn them clockwise a bit at a time and see if that improves things.

Don't go too far with the adjustment though - if you do then the boot lid may rattle or knock over rough(er) roads.
