Have a coolant leak on my 2018 TTS which has now done a mere 33,800 miles. Whilst driving over the weekend the coolant low alert came on the dashboard.
Took the car to my local independent VAG shop and they performed a pressure test which highlighted the water pump is leaking, a common fault it seems with these EA888 engines and their badly designed plastic pumps.
Have been quoted £1040 for replacement (including the initial test).
From what I've read this is a common issue (and even a class action in the US/Canada).
Appreciate feedback from others who've gone through this issue. Is this price reasonable in 2025?
Thinking about complaining to Audi UK too over this design flaw, anyone have a positive outcome going down this route?
