Hi all

My TT has just entered the line and is at Paint. It is being described as Daytona Grey Pearl Effect Black - but I have ordered Daytona Grey Pearl Effect??

Does anyone know why it is being described as 'Daytona Grey Pearl Effect Black'.

I'm guessing that all is OK and the vehicle will be as ordered but I am just looking for some reassurance from any existing Daytona Grey owners who may have already experienced this description.

Reasty - no it's not a Black Edition - just a plain old 2.0 S-line.

No need to be sorry - I am very grateful for your input :)

My picture is a stock image (you're right - it does look like a Black Edition). I will update the image with one of my new car when it is eventually delivered.

The black I think depicts the interior colour.
That would make sense - I have specified black napa leather SS seats :)

@ Rumney. This had me foxed too when mine was on order. I see you are waiting for a roadster - the "black" bit refers to the colour of the roof.
If you go to the configurator and input your spec and then go to Print, if you scroll down the page you'll see Daytona pearl, Black. Go back and change the roof colour and go to Print again and you'll see its no longer black.

ZephyR2 - Thanks for the info. It is a Roadster and it is will have a black roof - mystery solved - much appreciated :D

Are you buying from your local dealer? Happy so far?
90TJM - it's local but not my nearest.

Nearest is less than 1 mile away but I didn't much like their customer service nor the deal offered when I visited so went to a dealer about 20 miles away in Bridgend.

So far very happy - very helpful and friendly staff, good deal (I think) and good post order contact. Will have to wait to see what the handover and after sales experience is like though - so far so good :)

I have had 3 cars from Cardiff but they are not as good as they used to be,too busy I think.
This is my first Audi.

I guess it might be luck of the draw with which salesman you catch when you visit - maybe mine was having a bad day. Cardiff (Mon Motors Group) has a very plush showroom (better than Bridgend) but it's all out the welcome, the service and how you are made to feel. Bridgend Audi (Sinclair Group) were much better and have been very good so far :)
